Obsessus et Venatus

Haunted and Hunted

A presence lingers.
It doesn’t knock. It doesn’t ask.
It’s always there—watching, shaping, pressing itself onto your very sense of self.

This series is not about paranoia. It’s about reality—the inherited awareness of being seen through a lens that distorts, reduces, or condemns. It’s about the echo of history that never fully fades, the haunting of ancestral trauma that continues to stalk the present.

Obsessus et Venatus—Latin for “Haunted and Hunted”—captures the tension of living with the memory of the past while navigating the judgment of the now. Inspired by W.E.B. Du Bois' double consciousness, this work speaks to those who’ve felt the need to hide, shapeshift, or shrink in plain sight.

It is not paranoia if it never left.
